We’ll also have live group calls where you can connect in real time, ask questions, and dive deeper into your creative journey with the community.
Live Group Calls Virtual sessions to connect, share ideas, and learn from one another in a collaborative setting. (Don’t worry if you can’t make it—these calls will be recorded!) These sessions are a chance to gain inspiration, exchange ideas, and receive personalized insights to help you grow.

I'm Kathleen, full time mamma, pursuing surface design!
Working in graphic design, I was seeking creative areas to add to my career when I discovered surface design. I was immediately drawn to this field and knew it was something I wanted to pursue seriously. But I also realized the importance of giving myself grace and space to grow into this new chapter.

I invested in myself, dedicating time to learning the industry, defining my style, and building my brand. Connecting with others in creative groups played a key role in helping me focus on what truly inspired me within surface design.​

Along the way, I’ve learned the value of persistence while adapting and embracing slow growth. Life doesn’t stop while you’re chasing your goals, but community keeps you moving forward inspiring you along the way.

My daughter has been a large source of inspiration from day one. Reminding me of the importance of creating a beautiful, creative future—not only for myself but for the family I’m nurturing.

What is Artful? ARTFUL is more than a membership—it’s a vibrant community for artists to connect, share, and grow. Together, we’ll explore trends, build designs, and celebrate the art of surface pattern in an intimate, collaborative space.
How is this different from other memberships? ARTFUL focuses more on inspiration, resources, and community interaction. It’s designed for creatives who want ongoing resources, style boards, trend insights, and feedback but in a more intimate setting.
Struggling to establish connections? ARTFUL is designed to inspire, connect, and help you grow alongside other artists and designers in a smaller, more intimate setting making it easier to grow relationships with fellow artists.
Do I have to be pursuing surface design? Not at all! While ARTFUL is geared toward surface pattern designers, the principles of creativity, inspiration gathering, and community support can benefit anyone in the creative field. If you're an artist, designer, or someone looking for creative growth, you'll find valuable insights and resources in ARTFUL.
Is the online community a Facebook group? No, ARTFUL isn’t hosted in a Facebook group. While social media is great for connection, it can be distracting. We’re using Circle, a dedicated platform designed to foster focused, creative interaction and easy access to resources—without the noise of social media.
What if Artful isn't for me? You can cancel your membership at any time. However, if you decide to rejoin in the future, please note that the membership fee may be higher at that time.
Will there be live sessions? Yes! As part of the membership, there will be group calls with all members (if you so wish to join) where we can connect, share explore topics together. These sessions are a wonderful opportunity to engage with the community, spark inspiration from one another and create accountability.
